Holly Green at Westfield Fountain Gate

Urban Commons worked with Westfield Fountain Gate to create a community garden that allows traders and visitors alike to relax, share knowledge, skills and plants, and to learn from each other. The outcome is the Holly Green Community Garden.

Named after the original homestead and farm that was built on the Fountain Gate site in 1852, the Holly Green features perennial and biannual productive plants and annual vegetables and herbs. A selection of Indigenous food plants also acknowledges the Wadawurrung people,  the indigenous people of the area.
